The British company founded and directed by David Alcraft, a man from the world of pharmaceutical and healthcare, started, with a non conventional approach, a project for an all electric GT car. Alcraft Motor Company is developing electric powertrains and vehicle platforms, focusing on vehicles with pure electric drive, but also developing battery and range-extending techs to find the best balance between environmental impact, performance and range. The driving philosophy of the project is the British engineering tradition of reducing weight and having top efficiency to enhance performance and pleasure for the driver. Here you can see some pics of the 3D model of the car they are working on. The idea is to have an electric GT designed by Matthew Humphries with 4WD given by 3 motors, 600HP with a 0 to 62 MPH in 3.5 secs. and a 500 liters luggage space all included in a 1700 kg car. The estimated range will be 300 miles or something more.

L’azienda inglese fondata e diretta da David Alcraft, un uomo che viene dal mondo della farmaceutica, ha iniziato, con un approccio non convezionale, un progetto per una GT elettrica. La Alcraft Motor Company sta sviluppando autonomamente motori e piattaforme costruttive concentrandosi su auto elettriche ma anche sviluppando batterie e sistemi “range-extender” cercando il miglior equlibrio tra impatto ambientale, prestazioni e durata. La filosofia guida del progetto è la tradizione ingegneristica inglese della massima riduzione di peso e dell’ottimizzazione dell’efficienza per migliorare le prestazioni e il piacere di guida. L’idea è di avere una GT disegnata da Matthew Humphriescon le seguenti caratteristiche:  trazione integrale (con 3 motori), 600CV, uno 0-100km/h in 3.5 sec., 500 litri di baule il tutto compreso in una vettura da 1700kg. L’autonomia stimata dovrebbe essere 480km.
