Simply fantastic. A classic cool car reborn, the Alfa Romeo Giulia GTA transformed into an electric beast capable to reach 245 Km/h thanks to a new electric powertrain with 518 HP. The team of Totem Automobili (an Italian start-up founded by Riccardo Quaggio) did an extraordinary job giving to this classic from the 60s style and technology for the future. The car you see here is a totally rebuilt car using state of the art craftmanship and finest McFly technolgy able to give classic rough senstions in a cutting edge electric car. Royal Enfield Photon by Electric Classic Cars: vintage bike for the future

Pregevole conversione realizzata dal team di Electric Classic Cars (ECC) in Inghilterra che ha preso una Royal Enfield Bullet a cui ha tolto il motore monocilindrico e lo ha sostituito con un propulsore elettrico da 17CV (13 kW) di potenza installato direttamente nel mozzo della ruota posteriore e un pacco batterie agli ioni di litio LG Chem da 2,5 kWh. La Photon è in grado di coprire l’accelerazione da 48 a 80 Km/h in 6 secondi, raggiunge i 112 Km/h di velocità massima promette un’autonomia compresa tra i 120 e 160 Km per singola ricarica in base allo stile di guida. Le sovrastrutture della Bullet sono rimaste invariate, mantenendo il look vintage. Anche la ciclistica non è stata modificata (mantenuta la forcella telescopica e i freni a disco da 280mm anteriore e 240mm posteriore) è stato però abbandonato il telaio a doppia culla in favore di uno a traliccio di tubi che contiene il pacco batterie. Il prezzo di questa creazione è di 20.000 sterline, circa 22.600 euro.

Remarkable conversion made by the team of Electric Classic Cars (ECC) in England who took a Royal Enfield Bullet removed the single-cylinder engine and replaced it with a 17 HP (13 kW) electric hub motor installed directly in the the rear wheel and a 2.5 kWh LG Chem lithium ion battery pack. The Photon is able to cover acceleration from 48 to 80 Km/h in 6 seconds, reaches 112 Km/h of top speed and promises a range between 120 and 160 Km per single charge according to the driving style. The Bullet’s superstructures have remained unchanged, maintaining the vintage look. Even the chassis hasn’t been changed (the telescopic fork, the 280mm front and 240mm rear disc brakes have been kept), however, the double cradle frame has been abandoned in favor of a space frame that contains the battery pack. The price of this creation is 20.000 GBP, about 22.600 euros.

MOMENT MOTOR CO.: keeping them alive and kicking

MOMENT MOTOR CO. was one of the guest companies at the FULLY CHARGED LIVE event in Austin (Texas – USA) at the beginning of February. The texan company, as the web site says, works to keep the classic cars alive “..protecting the original intent of classic vehicles while doing its part for the environment“. They produce state of the art restored cars with electric motors to preserve the driving experience and giving a new performance level thanks to new ev powertrains. Swind E classic: green vintage Mini

All’inizio del 2019, l’azienda inglese Swind ha presentato la E Classic, una Mini vintage che combina un corpo vettura totalmente restaurato e una nuova propulsione su misura con un motore elettrico da 80 kW (110 CV) sviluppato dalla Swindon Powertrain. Disponibile su ordinazione sia con guida a sinistra che a destra, questa produzione limitata di 100 auto ha un prezzo di partenza di circa 94000 euro e viene fornita con una garanzia di un anno senza limite di percorrenza. L’auto ha una batteria al litio da 24kWh che consente un’autonomia di 200 km e raggiunge una velocità massima di 130 km/h.

At the beginning of 2019 the british company Swind unveiled the E Classic, a vintage Mini that combines a fully-restored body and bespoke powertrain with a 80kW (110HP) electric motor developed by Swindon Powertrain.  Available to order either lhd o rhd, this limited production of 100 cars has starting price at £79,000 and comes with an unlimited mileage one-year warranty. The car has 24kWh lithium battery pack that allows a range of 125 miles (200km) and reaches a top speed of 80 MPH (130 km/h).

Ferrari 308 electric conversion by Electric Classic Cars

After a Porsche 911 Targa and a Range Rover they did it again: guys at Electric Classic Cars in the UK converted an iconic Ferrari 308 gts. Tesla batteries and more than twice the power of the original engine. The finished car is a real fury.
