A wise fusion of classic and modern style, the body is unmistakably HD even without the big Twin replaced by the electric powertrain and the batteries. Presales starting in January 2019.
Dopo il primo prototipo visto nel film MarvelAvengers: Age of Ultron, ad EICMA 2018 a Milano, Harley Davidson ha presentato la versione di produzione della nuova moto elettrica LIVEWIRE. Una sapiente fusione di stile classico e moderno, il corpo è inconfondibilmente HD anche senza il Big Twin sostituito dal powertrain elettrico e le batterie. Prevendite a partire da gennaio 2019.
E lentamente affiorano foto e dettagli della moto vista sul set del prossimo film della Marvel, la moto Harley Davidson immortalata è la LiveWire prima elettrica della casa americana che dovrebbe arrivare sul mercato nel 2015. A rompere l’embargo sulle immagini ufficiali pare sia stata la testata asphaltandrubber.com come “ritorsione” per non essere stata invitata alla presentazione ufficiale del modello. Al momento non sono stati resi noti dati esatti come l’autonomia (stimata attorno ai 90 km nel ciclo misto) e i tempi di ricarica ma pare che la potenza di questa rivoluzionaria Harley sarà di circa 74CV (55kW) e lo 0-100 dovrebbe essere coperto in circa 4sec.! Lo stile è un tuffo nel futuro HD, una naked sportiva con luci a led, una ciclistica sportiva e strumentazione su pannello digitale. Staremo a vedere dove porterà il progetto LiveWire.

At the moment were not disclosed data such as autonomy (maybe 50 miles of mixed city and highway riding) and recharge times but it seems that the power of this revolutionary Harley will be about 74HP (55kW) with a 0-60mph in 4 seconds! The style is a glimpse into the future of HD, a naked sports with LED lights, sporty chassis and lcd instruments. Let’s see how and where goes the Project LiveWire.

Oggi c’è fermento in molti siti americani di motori e spettacolo, la foto qui sopra (Sipa USA/REX), uno scatto rubato sul set del prossimo film Avengers: Age of Ultron, mostra una moto elettrica (cavalcata da una controfigura di Scarlett Johansson) marchiata Harley Davidson talmente ben rifinita e definita da sembrare un mezzo prossimo alla produzione. Fosse confermato sarebbe un’evento, la casa di Milwaukee sarebbe il primo marchio “tradizionale” di moto a mettere in produzione una moto a zero emissioni. Sarebbe la rottura di un tabù ancor più impressionante che per altri marchi essendo le Harley amate anche per il loro sound specifico. I puristi saranno già sul piede di guerra e molti storceranno il naso ma in ogni caso sarebbe una svolta storica. Che l’elettrico abbia conquistato un altro posto al sole? Speriamo.

The picture above (Sipa USA/REX), a stolen shot from the set of the upcoming movie “Avengers: Age of Ultron“, shows an electric motorcycle (ridden by a stunt double for Scarlett Johansson) Harley Davidson branded so well finished and defined to look like a production bike. If confirmed it would be mind blowing, Milwaukee bike maker would be the first “traditional” brand to put into production a zero emissions motorcycle. It would be a taboo braking even more impressive than for other brands since the Harleys are beloved for their specific sound. Purists will be upset, and many will disagree, but in any case it would be a historic turning point. Have Electric motorbikes found another place under the sun? Let’s hope.
