Energica Experia, travelling in green style

The Italian Energica Motor Company presented its “green tourer” called Experia. This electric touring bike joins the range of road sports bikes: Ego, EsseEsse9 and Eva Ribelle that have contributed to the brand’s reputation. The Experia is equipped with high level components (such as Brembo brakes) and claims remarkable performances: liquid-cooled synchronous engine with a peak power of 102hp / 75kW, 180Km/h self-limited top speed, 222Km average combined cycle range (up to 420Km in the city).

L’italiana Energica Motor Company ha presentato la sua “green tourer” denominata Experia. Questa moto da turismo elettrica si aggiunge alla gamma di moto sportive stradali: Ego, EsseEsse9 ed Eva Ribelle che hanno contribuito alla fama del marchio. L’Experia è equipaggiata con componenti di alto livello (come i freni Brembo) e vanta prestazioni notevoli: motore sincrono raffreddato a liquido con potenza di picco di 102 CV / 75 kW, velocità massima autolimitata di 180 Km/h, autonomia media nel ciclo combinato di 222 Km (fino a 420 Km in città).

DAB Concept-E – future from France

Lo stile è quello di una moto futuristica ma decisamente concreta, la francese DAB Motors ha creato una impressionate motocicletta elettrica dalle linee essenziali. Per ora, come dice il nome è un prototipo ma sembra davvero vicina alla produzione.

The style is that of a futuristic motorcycle but definitely concrete, the French DAB Motors has created an impressive electric motorcycle with essential lines. For now, as the name says it is a prototype but it seems really close to production.

Urbet Nura: Hispano-chinese green bike

The Spanish company Urbet recently presented its latest electric motorcycle: the Nura. This electric motorcycle was designed in Spain and is currently produced in China but will soon have a production line in Malaga. This motorcycle, which can be ridden with an A1 driving licence, has a power output of 8 kW (peak power 15 kW) and a top speed of 140 Km/h. The battery has a capacity of 7.2 kWh and should give a range between 120 and 190 Km depending on the riding style. With its tubular steel frame, the Nura has a weight of about 150 kg. The swingarm is made of aluminum, the bike is equipped with ABS and dual front disc brakes. As reported on the website the starting price is just over 7000 euros.

L’azienda spagnola Urbet ha recentemente presentato la sua ultima motocicletta elettrica: la Nura. Questa moto elettrica è stata progettata in Spagna attualmente è prodotta in Cina ma presto avrà una linea di produzione anche a Malaga. Questa motocicletta che può essere guidata con una patente A1 (quella per i 125cc), ha una potenza di 8 kW (potenza di picco 15 kW) e una velocità massima di 140 Km/h. La batteria ha una capacità di 7,2 kWh e dovrebbe peremettere un’autonomia tra i 120 e 190 Km in base allo stile di guida. Con il suo telaio in tubolare d’acciaio, la Nura ha un peso di circa 150 chilogrammi. Il forcellone è in alluminio, la moto è dotata di ABS e doppi freni a disco anteriori. Come riporta il sito il prezzo di partenza è poco più di 7000 euro.

Tarform Motorcycles: 3D printing your ride

The essence of a motorcycle using 3D printing, this is the way Tarform Motorcycles (a startup based in Brooklin and founded by Taras Kravtchouk) decided to make its new Scrambler.  The idea was to design motorcycles based on the latest trends in the sector and find the best design according to the users needs and adopting environmentally friendly materials at the same time. So every component of the bike was virtually redesigned and 3D shaped using additive manufacturing in order to minimize waste and use new biomaterials. On the company website you can reserve “founder edition unit” or pre-order a prodiction vehicle. Every unit is hand-made.

L’essenza di una motocicletta ottenuta usando la stampa 3D, è così che Tarform Motorcycles (una startup con sede a Brooklin e fondata da Taras Kravtchouk) ha deciso di realizzare la sua nuova Scrambler. L’idea era quella di progettare motociclette in base alle ultime tendenze del settore e trovare il miglior design in base alle esigenze degli utenti e adottare contemporaneamente materiali ecocompatibili. Switch Motorcycles eScrambler

New Zeeland based company called Switch Motorcycles Ltd, funded by Matthew Waddick, is working hard with its team and Michel Riis (ex-Yamaha industrial designer and former flat track racing champion) to design the eSCRAMBLER. The idea is simple: a mid-sized motorcycle with a powerful belt-driven mid-mounted motor ready to be produced. So the project was born for real production, no open eyes dreamers around. The eSCRAMBLER has a top speed of 150 Km/h (93 MPH), 0-100 Km/h (0-62 MPH) time of 3.2 seconds, and a range of about 150 Km (93 miles). The bike is powered by a 50kW (67HP) electric motor. Company is launching its phase 2 investment funding round to put the eSCRAMBLER through the homologation process and bring the bike to market. Sales are scheduled for 2022.

La società con sede in Nuova Zelanda chiamata Switch Motorcycles Ltd, fondata da Matthew Waddick, sta lavorando duramente con il suo team e Michel Riis (ex designer industriale Yamaha ed ex campione di corse flat-track) per progettare la eSCRAMBLER. L’idea è semplice: una motocicletta di dimensioni medie con un potente motore montato centralmente e trasmisione a chinghia pronta per essere prodotta. Quindi il progetto è nato per la vera produzione, nessun sognatore ad occhi aperti all’opera. La eSCRAMBLER ha una velocità massima di 150 Km/h, copre lo 0-100 in 3,2 secondi e ha un’autonomia di circa 150 Km. La moto è spinta da un motore elettrico da 50kW (67CV). La società sta lanciando la seconda fase di finanziamento degli investimenti per sottoporre la eSCRAMBLER al processo di omologazione e metterla sul mercato. Le vendite sono programmate per il 2022.

VOGE ER10: naked ride from far East

Dalla cinese Voge (marchio di proprietà della Loncin Motors) arriva la proposta di una naked dal design decisamente ben bilanciato: la ER10 (in precedenza presentata come Sur Ron White Ghost). Questa motocicletta elettrica monta un motore raffredato a liquido da 6kW (8CV) e una batteria agli ioni di Litio da 4.2 kWh prodotta da Panasonic che permettono una velocità massima di circa 100Km/h e un’autonomia di circa 120Km. Con un peso di 115Kg la moto si presenta come una valida alternativa ad un 125cc e come interessante mezzo sia per le trasferte cittadine che per qualche gita fuori porta. Il prezzo stimato al momento della presentazione era di 4750 dollari.

From the chinese brand Voge (owned by Loncin Motors) comes the proposal for a naked with a well balanced design: the ER10 (previously presented as Sur Ron White Ghost). This electric motorcycle is equipped with a 6kW (8HP) liquid-cooled motor and a 4.2 kWh lithium-ion battery produced by Panasonic that allow a maximum speed of about 100Km/h and an autonomy of about 120Km. With a weight of 115Kg the bike is presented as a valid alternative to a 125cc and as an interesting vehicle both for city trips and for some trips out of town. The estimated price at launch was $ 4750.

Segway Ninebot Apex One: Segway new way

Unveiled at CES 2020. This is the new high performance motorbike APEX ONE by Segway (part of chinese company Ninebot since 2015). This electric motorcycle has a 110kW (around 150HP) motor, can reach 200Km/h top speed ad covers the 0-100Km/h in 3 seconds.  The design was literally carved in clay by Chen Jiang. It will be in the market at the beginning of 2021.

Svelata al CES 2020. Questa è la nuova moto sportiva APEX ONE di Segway (che dal 2015 fa parte del gruppo cinese Ninebot). Questa motocicletta elettrica è dotata di un motore con potenza massima di 110kW (circa 150CV), può raggiungere i 200Km/h e copre lo 0-100km/h in 3 secondi. Il design è stato creato a mano nella creta da Chen Jiang. Sarà sul mercato ad inizio 2021.

Polizia green: Comune di Pistoia su Zero Motorcycles Zero DSR

Recentemente la Polizia Municipale di Pistoia si è dotata di motociclette elettriche prodotte dalla californiana Zero Motorcycles. Le moto in questione sono delle Zero DSR che hanno ricevuto uno specifico allestimento dall’italiana Bertazzoni Veicoli Speciali, con sede a Collecchio (Parma), specializzata nella fornitura di mezzi configurati per le forze dell’ordine,  le moto sono quindi dotate di tutti i dispositivi, delle grafiche  e accessori previsti dalla normativa riguardante le moto di servizio per le polizie locali.

Le Zero DSR sono disponibili sia con pacco batterie standard da 11,4 kWh che con Power Tank con capacità complessiva di 18 kWh, sono dotate di un motore elettrico da 52 kW (69CV) che consente una velocità massima di 163 km/h. L’autonomia in ciclo urbano è di 262 Km (328 con Power Tank), mentre nel ciclo misto (50% urbano e 50% autostradale a 113 Km/h) i dati diventano 169 Km (212 con Power Tank).

Alla fine del 2019, BMW ha mostrato che sta lavorando ad una motocicletta elettrica denominata BMW E-Power. BMW Motorrad ha invitato una selezione di giornalisti europei a guidare il prototipo presso il centro di sviluppo BMW di Miramas, in Francia. Al momento la moto è solo un concept con un telaio specifico, un motore elettrico e alcuni elementi presi dagli attuali modelli in produzione (la parte anteriore da una S1000 RR e la parte posteriore da una R1200 RS). Questa moto pesa circa 296 kg e ha una potenza di 100kW (134 CV). L’azienda tedesca non ha fissato una data per la versione stradale ma ha dichiarato che una produzione non sarà contemplata fino a quando non sarà possibile avere un’autonomia di 200-300 km per singola carica.

In the end of 2019 BMW showed that is working on an electric motorcycle called the BMW E-Power. BMW Motorrad invited selected European journalists to drive the prototype at the BMW Vehicle Development Centre in Miramas, in France. At this time the motorcycle is just a concept with a custom frame, electric motor and some elements taken from actual production models (the front end from a S1000 RR and the rear part from a R1200 RS). This bike weights arond 296 kg and has power of 100 kW (134 bhp). The german company didn’t say a date for the road-ready version but declared that a production will not be considered until it’s possible to have a range of 200-300 km per single charge.
