New Zeeland based company called Switch Motorcycles Ltd, funded by Matthew Waddick, is working hard with its team and Michel Riis (ex-Yamaha industrial designer and former flat track racing champion) to design the eSCRAMBLER. The idea is simple: a mid-sized motorcycle with a powerful belt-driven mid-mounted motor ready to be produced. So the project was born for real production, no open eyes dreamers around. The eSCRAMBLER has a top speed of 150 Km/h (93 MPH), 0-100 Km/h (0-62 MPH) time of 3.2 seconds, and a range of about 150 Km (93 miles). The bike is powered by a 50kW (67HP) electric motor. Company is launching its phase 2 investment funding round to put the eSCRAMBLER through the homologation process and bring the bike to market. Sales are scheduled for 2022.
