Presentato alla fine del 2019 dalla britannica Morris Commercial, ecco il Morris JE che richiama nelle forme il famoso furgoncino Morris J-type degli anni ’50. Il nuovo van elettrico arriverà sul mercato verso la fine del 2021 ad un prezzo di circa 70000 euro, non pochi, ma va considerato che il JE nasce su una piattaforma modulare totalmente nuova con telaio in fibra di carbonio e progettata appositamente per veicoli a trazione elettrica. La scheda tecnica prevede una batteria agli ioni di Litio da 60kWh, un’autonomia di circa 320 Km, una velocità massima poco superiore ai 140 Km/h (più che sufficienti per un van), un vano di carico da 5,5 metri cubi e una portata di 1000 Kg. Sono previste anche differenti varianti di carrozzeria (van, pickup e pulmino).

Presented at the end of 2019 by the british company Morris Commercial, here is the Morris JE which recalls in its body shape the famous Morris J-type van from the 50s. The new electric van will arrive on the market at the end of 2021 at a price of about 70,000 euros, not cheap, but it must be considered that the JE was born on a totally new modular platform with a carbon fiber frame and designed specifically for EV. The technical sheet provides a 60kWh lithium-ion battery, a range of about 320 Km (200 miles), top speed at 140 Km/h (90MPH) (more than enough for a van), a 5.5 cubic meter load compartment and a payload up to 1000 kg. Different bodywork variants will be also available (van, pickup and minibus).
