Audi presents its Audi e-tron GT concept in LA, the third electric from Ingolstadt following the footsteps of the Audi e-tron SUV and the Audi e-tron Sportback scheduled for 2019. We will see this concept in the next Marvel movie Avangers 4 (in summer 2019). Flat, wide and with a long wheelbase the car has classic GT proportions. The Audi e-tron GT concept has these dimensions: 16.3 ft (4,96 mt) length, 6.4 ft (1,96 mt) width and 4.5 ft (1,38 mt) height. The lightweight body of this 4-door coupe is manufactured using a multi-material construction. Here you have a roof section made from carbon along with numerous aluminum components and supporting elements made from high-strength steel. Here some numbers: 434 kW (590 HP) system power with separate electric motors fitted to the front and rear axles. The new Audi e-tron GT concept is a real Quattro but an electric Quattro, so there is no mechanical link between the front and rear axle. The car should accelerate from 0-62.1 MPH in around 3.5 seconds before going on to 124.3 MPH in just over 12 seconds. The top speed is regulated at 149.1 MPH (240 km/h) to maximize the range that will be over 248.5 mi (400 km), determined using the new WLTP standard. The required drive energy comes from a lithium-ion battery, positioned in the entire underfloor area between the front and rear axle with a flat design.

Il nuovo concept Audi e-tron GT è una vera Quattro ma una Quattro elettrica, quindi non esiste alcun collegamento meccanico tra l’asse anteriore e quello posteriore. L’auto dovrebbe accelerare da 0-100km/h in circa 3,5 secondi prima di passare a 200 km/h in poco più di 12 secondi. La velocità massima è regolata a 240 km/h per massimizzare l’autonomia che sarà di oltre 400 km, misurata usando il nuovo standard WLTP. L’energia richiesta proviene da una batteria agli ioni di litio, posizionata nell’intera area del pavimento tra l’asse anteriore e posteriore grazie ad un design piatto.
