La casa britannica The Lightning Car Company sta lavorando alla sua GT, una vettura dalla linea che richiama gloriose vetture del passato ma che sotto una carrozzeria di carbonio e alluminio nasconde una tecnologia più che moderna con telaio a nido d’ape in alluminio e doppio motore elettrico in grado di erogare ben 400CV! La Lightning GT accelera da 0-100 in tempi da motocicletta sportiva e raggiunge una velocità (autolimitata elettronicamente) di quasi 210km/h con un’autonomia stimata di 240km e monta un sistema di frenata rigenerativa. Questa spettacolare sportiva a zero emissioni costruita a Coventry dovrebbe entrare in produzione a fine 2015 ma il primo lotto di 50 auto è già ordinabile e ogni vettura sarà realizzata su specifiche richieste del cliente. La GT monta batterie LTO (Lithium Titanate) da 44kWh che si possono ricaricare in 15 ore da rete casalinga, in 2,5 ore con sistema di ricarica veloce e in 20 minuti con il sistema ultra veloce. Questa vettura sarà in grado di dare forti emozioni e non farà in alcun modo rimpiangere le sportive tradizionali con motore endotermico. Il piacere della guida e il rispetto dell’ambiente potranno andare di pari passo.

The Lightning Car Company is working on its GT, a car with a style that recalls the glorious cars of the past but that under a carbon and aluminum body hides a modern chassis with honeycomb aluminum and a twin motor system capable of delivering 400PS and over 4000 Nm torque! The Lightning GT accelerates from 0 to 60 MPH in sports motorcycle time and reaches a top speed (electronically limited) of 130 MPH with a range of 150 miles and mounts a regenerative braking system. This spectacular zero emission sportscar built in Coventry is expected to enter into production at the end of 2015 but the first batch of 50 cars is ready to order and each car will be built on specific customer requirements. The GT is equipped with 44kWh LTO batteries (Lithium Titanate) that can be recharged in 15 hours with standard charge, in 2.5 hours with fast charging system and in 20 minutes using the ultrafast charge. This car will be able to give strong emotions and will not in any way regret the traditional sportcars with gasoline engines. The driving pleasure and respect for the environment can go hand in hand.
