Non è una bici, non è una moto… è FEDDZ (Fast Electric Drive DynaimicZ)! Un modernissimo scooter elettrico a ruote alte dal design innovativo made in Germany. Telaio in alluminio che comprende anche un alloggiamento per piccoli carichi e motore elettrico integrato nella ruota posteriore fornito dall’austrica GreenRoad (che ha anche fornito il pacco batterie agli ioni di Litio e il sistema di controllo con tre impostazioni per gestire velocità e autonomia). La FEDDZ pesa (comprese batterie) solo 44,5 Kg e promette un’autonomia di circa 70 Km con la ECO battery mentre arriva a 110 Km con la Premium battery. La FEDDZ ha una velocità massima di 45 Km/h (quindi è a tutti gli effetti uno scooter) e permette di ricaricare comodamente a casa o in ufficio il pacco batterie come carichereste il vostro smartphone. Questo scooter elettrico permette una reale mobilità a zero emissioni, viene offerto in due versioni a seconda della batteria scelta: con ECO Battery a 5990 euro e con la Premium Battery a 6990 euro.

DCH Project: minimal electric naked by DeChaves Garage

La definizione di minimal credo sia mai come in questo caso azzeccata, la DHC Project del designer Pablo de Chaves (DeChaves Garage) di Tenerife rappresenta l’essenza della moto elettrica naked. Tanto essenziale quanto affascinante nella sua apparente semplicità. Con le componenti elettriche (batterie) ed elettroniche (sistemi di controllo) concentrate nella “black box” centrale e il motore incorporato nella ruota posteriore mi torna alla mente un passaggio del libro di John Maeda “Laws of Simplicity” in cui parlando del design di alcuni device si citava il principio S.H.E. (shrink, hide, embody = riduci, nascondi, incorpora). La struttura portante è quanto mai in vista, e nel caso di questo prototipo non è stata solo progettata ma anche costruita da De Chaves! L’idea era di creare un mezzo facile da assemblare e a zero emissioni. Per certi aspetti il risultato finale ha un certo gusto di cafè racer e la totale mancanza di sovrastrutture invece di dare un’impressione di povertà trasmette un’immediata idea di tecnica e razionalità. Potrà non piacere a tutti ma di certo il risultato finale è notevole e certamente non lascerà indifferenti.

Amsterdam Airport Enlists 167 Tesla Taxis

In a bid to reduce its carbon footprint, Amsterdam’s main airport has enlisted the aid of 167 Tesla Model S taxi cabs. The cutting edge taxis are just a small part of the Schiphol airport to be among the greenest in the world. The taxi service will actually be operated by three competing companies, all of which will use the Model S. One of the companies, Taxi Electric, had been thought to be using the Nissan LEAF, but the Model S it turns out is the better option. Numerous government incentives bring the price of the Model S down, and in some places in the Netherlands the Nissan e-NV200 electric van can be had for less than $10,000. The incentives are there, as is Tesla’s European assembly plant. The electric taxi fleet is one of the many efforts on the part of the Schiphol airport to reduce its carbon footprint, like extensive use of LED lighting and 35 BYD electric buses, among other things. The rollout of this new electric taxi service begins today, and the minimum trip cost comes in at a substantial 25 euros, though each car comes equipped with free 4G LTE wireless service.

L’aeroporto di Amsterdam attiva 167 taxi Tesla

Nel tentativo di ridurre l’impatto delle sue emissioni, il principale aeroporto di Amsterdam ha messo in campo l’aiuto di 167 Tesla Model S taxi. I taxi d’avanguardia sono solo una piccola parte dell’impegno dell’aeroporto Schiphol per essere tra i più verdi del mondo. Il servizio taxi sarà effettivamente gestito da tre società concorrenti, i quali utilizzeranno la model S. Una delle società, Taxi Electric, era stata pensato per operare con la Nissan LEAF, ma la model S è risultata l’opzione migliore. Numerosi incentivi governativi abbassano il prezzo della Tesla, e in alcune parti in Olanda un pulmino elettrico Nissan e-NV200 può essere comprato per meno di 8000 euro. Gli incentivi ci sono così come lo stabilimento europeo di assemblaggio di Tesla. La flotta di taxi elettrici è uno dei tanti sforzi da parte dell’aeroporto di Schiphol per ridurre le emissioni, come il largo uso di illuminazione a LED e 35 bus elettrici prodotti dalla cinese BYD, tra le altre cose. Il lancio di questo nuovo servizio taxi elettrico inizia oggi (16 ottobre), e il costo minimo del viaggio arriva a ben 25 euro, anche se ogni auto è dotata di servizi wireless 4G LTE gratuito.

KTM E-Speed: urban green mobility

Presentato al Tokyo Motorcycle Show 2013 il KTM E-Speed rappresenta la proposta della casa austriaca per una mobilità ecologica, dinamica e divertente. Questo scooter sfrutta il know-how accumulato nel reparto di sviluppo a Mattighofen per la Freeride (presentata all’EICMA 2011), pesa 140 Kg, ha una potenza di 11 KW (36nm come valore di coppia) e raggiunge la velocità di 85 km/h. L’E-Speed sfrutta un telaio a traliccio in acciaio e ciclistica WP. La trasmissione posteriore è a cinghia. Il pacchetto batterie agli ioni di litio con una capacità di 4.36kWh è completamente ricaricabile in meno di due ore da una normale presa 220V e permette un’autonomia di circa 50 Km. Questo prototipo non è un semplice sfoggio di stile ma dovrebbe essere molto simile al modello che entrerà a far parte del listino KTM nel 2015.

Presented at the Tokyo Motorcycle Show 2013 KTM E-Speed is the proposal of the Austrian company for environmentally friendly, dynamic and fun mobility. This scooter uses the know-how accumulated in the r&d department at Mattighofen for the Freeride (presented at EICMA 2011), weighs 140 kg, has a power of 11 KW (36nm torque) and reaches a top speed of 85 km/h. The E-Speed uses a steel tube frame and chassis WP. The transmission is a rear belt. The lithium-ion battery pack with a capacity of 4.36kWh is fully rechargeable in less than two hours from a standard 220V outlet and allows a range of about 50 km. This prototype isn’t just a style exercise but should be very close to the model that will be part of the KTM lineup in 2015.

Tesla Model S P85D: pure luxury fury

Se qualcuno ancora pensava che non si potesse ottenere di più da un mezzo elettrico eccolo servito. Tesla Motors ha svelato il mistero della lettera D che circolava in Internet, D come dual motor e quindi 4WD. La Model S e le prossime Tesla che riporteranno questa lettera nel badge saranno le “integrali” della famiglia, un po’ come “Quattro” per Audi e “X-Drive” per BMW (giusto per fare un paio di esempi). Oltre a questa caratteristica che alza di molto l’asticella delle performance dinamiche del modello entra a far parte della dotazione anche l’auto pilot (sistema che assiste al mantenimento della carreggiata e delle distanze in marcia e parcheggia da solo la vettura). Come detto ora il livello delle prestazioni è ancora più alto, la Model S P85D aggiunge ai già impressionanti 470CV del motore posteriore i 221CV di un secondo motore all’anteriore per una potenza complessiva di 691CV, portando lo scatto dello 0-100km/h al motociclistico valore di 3.2sec e la velocità massima a circa 250km/h (la versione 2WD tocca “solo” i 210). Le consegne di questa nuova generazione di Model S cominceranno da Febbraio 2015, l’opzione D alza il prezzo di circa 11500 euro.

As said now the level of performance is even higher, the Model S P85D adds to the already impressive 470HP rear engine a second 221HP engine at the front, 691HP total power, now the 0-60MPH reaches the motorcycle value of 3.2sec and the maximum speed at 155MPH (the 2WD version top speed is “only” 130MPH). Deliveries of this new Model S option will begin in February 2015 adding 14600$ to the final price.

zecOO: green future from Japan

Tanto bella quanto folle questa moto elettrica progettata in Giappone, la zecOO è una low rider uscita direttamente da un fumetto di fantascienza. Una motocicletta elettrica davvero fuori del comune e sarà anche presentata al BBT2014 di Dubai. Lunga 2,45 mt, con la seduta a soli 67cm da terra e un peso di 290kg lo stile è iper futuristico, con forcella monobraccio sia all’anteriore che al posteriore. Il motore elettrico eroga 75kW ed è alimentato da batterie agli ioni di litio da 7.5kWh. Può raggiungere i 200 km/h e ha un’autonomia stimata di 120km. Il prezzo è anche lui fuori del comune: quasi 92000 euro (12600000 Yen)

As beautiful as crazy this electric motorbike designed in Japan, zecOO is a low rider escaped directly from a sci-fi comic strip. An electric motorcycle really out of the ordinary and will also be presented to the BBT2014 in Dubai. 2450 mm long, with the seat just 670 mm from the ground and a weight of 290kg it has a hyper futuristic style, single-arm fork in the front and rear. The electric motor delivers 75kW and is powered by a 7.5kWh lithium-ion batteries. It can reach 200 km/h and has a estimated range of 120km. The price is too out of the ordinary: almost 92,000 euro (12.6 million yen)

Diabolika by Tacita: italian style on the road

L’azienda italiana Tacita ha presentato all’Intermot di Colonia la sua naked-enduro: la T-Race Diabolika caratterizzata da una posizione di guida più godibile, ruote da da 19″ e elementi delle sovrastrutture in carbon-kevlar. Si tratta di una stradale biposto dalla linea aggressiva. Il propulsore è un’evoluzione delle versioni Cross, Enduro e Rally. Si tratta dell’unità asincrona trifase a corrente alternata raffreddata a liquido, alimentata da batterie a base di Litio Polimero di grande densità energetica e che monta un cambio separato a 5 rapporti con frizione idraulica. A fare da contraltare alle finiture nere del carbonio ci sono molti elementi con finitura oro. Le ruote da 19″ rendono la guida stradale più sincera e piacevole. La Diabolica è una naked ecologica e ricca di stile.

The italian company Tacita presented at Intermot 2014 in Cologne its naked-enduro styled bike: the T-Race Diabolika with a more enjoyable riding position, 19″ wheels and carbon-kevlar body. It’a a stylish and aggressive two seat street electric road bike. The engine is an evolution of the Cross, Enduro and Rally versions. It’s a liquid cooled electric asynchronous three-phase induction engine, powered by LI-PO Lythium polymer batteries, equipped with a 5 speed gearbox with hydraulic clutch. A lot of gold details around its black carbon bodywork. 19” wheels make T-Race Diabolika very stable and enjoyable both entering and through the corners. Diabolika is a cool and green naked motorcycle.

Lightning LS-218: the speed of light

La più veloce moto elettrica in commercio, la Lightning LS-218 forte delle sue 218 MPH (ben 350 Km/h!) è un autentico fulmine. Ma il dato della velocità non è l’unico dato di rilievo di questa straordinaria superbike. Numeri alla mano il motore elettrico IPM raffreddato a liquido eroga ben 200CV (più di 150kW) e il pacco batterie da 12kWh agli ioni di Litio garantisce un range di 160 km ad andatura autostradale (ma ci sono anche le batterie da 15 e 20 kWh con autonomie superiori). La LS-218 pesa 224 kg ma a fermare questo proiettile a zero emissioni ci pensa un ottimo comparto freni di casa Brembo con ben 3 dischi da 320mm. La ciclistica conta anche una forcella anteriore a steli rovesciati della Öhlins e cerchi in magnesio forgiati della Marchesini. La ricarica a seconda del metodo richiede dai 30 minuti alle 2 ore. The fastest electric motorcycle on the market, the Lightning LS-218 reaches 218 MPH! It’s a real lightning. But speed is not the only high feature of this extraordinary superbike. Looking at the numbers: the liquid-cooled IPM electric motor delivers 200HP (more than 150kW) and the 12kWh lithium-ion battery pack from provides a range of 100 miles at highway speed (but there are also 15 and 20 kWh batteries available with higher range). La casa californiana ICON che è un punto di riferimento nel mondo del “restomod” automotive ha presentato e messo in vendita la seconda generazione in tiratura limitata di 50 esemplari del suo Electric Flyer.
