Pininfarina Battista: pure made in Italy

From the company that shaped many Ferrari jewels arrives this “pure” hypercar. At Geneva Motor Show 2019 Pininfarina presented the Battista (from the name of company founder). The Battista has a full carbon monocoque chassis, features 4 electric motors -each per wheel- for a combined output of 1874HP and 2300Nm (1696lb-ft) of torque, such a pure fury! Now the Rimac Concept Two has a contender or maybe a “sister” that’s because the whole powertrain is shared with Croatian car. Pininfarina says that the Battista is capable of a 0-62MPH (100Km/h) in under 2 seconds and 0-186MPH (300Km/h) in under 12 seconds, top speed: 217MPH (350Km/h)! Pininfarina plans to produce only 150 units of the car in Italy, at a price of around $2.5 million.

Dall’azienda che ha disegnato molti gioielli Ferrari arriva questa hypercar “pura”. Al Motor Show di Ginevra 2019 Pininfarina ha presentato la Battista (dal nome del fondatore dell’azienda). Il Battista ha un telaio monoscocca interamente in carbonio, è dotata di 4 motori elettrici, uno per ruota, per una potenza complessiva di 1874 CV e 2300 Nm di coppia, una vera furia! Ora il Rimac Concept Two ha un concorrente o forse una “sorella” perché tutto il gruppo propulsore è condiviso con la macchina croata. Pininfarina dichiara che la Battista è capace di uno 0-100Km/h in meno di 2 secondi e 0-300Km/h in meno di 12 secondi, velocità massima: 350Km/h! Pininfarina prevede di produrre solo 150 unità dell’auto in Italia, al prezzo di circa $ 2,5 milioni.

Piëch Mark Zero: family (green) affair

Piëch Automotive, the swiss company founded by Anton Piëch (son of former VW boss Ferdinand Piëch, a relative of Ferdinand Porsche) unveiled at Geneva Motor Show its full electric GT: the Mark Zero. Particularly interesting is the announced new cell type provided by Desten Group in China. The cells should support a very interesting high recuperation rate making the Mark Zero able to charge 80% in less than 5 minutes, according to company info. Thanks to this technology the car has a 500Km range. This GT has an asynchronous motor on the front axle delivering 150 kW (204HP), and two synchronous motors on the rear axle providing an additional 150 kW (204HP) each. So the car is a 4wd with 612HP. Price supposed around 200000 euros.

Piëch Automotive, la società svizzera fondata da Anton Piëch (figlio dell’ex capo VW Ferdinand Piëch, parente di Ferdinand Porsche) ha presentato al Salone di Ginevra la sua GT elettrica: la Mark Zero. Particolarmente interessante è il nuovo tipo di celle batterie fornito dalla cinese Desten Group. Le celle dovrebbero supportare un tasso di recupero elevato molto interessante che rende la Mark Zero in grado di ricaricare l’80% in meno di 5 minuti, secondo le informazioni diffuse. Grazie a questa tecnologia l’auto ha un’autonomia di 500 km. Questa GT ha un motore asincrono sull’asse anteriore che eroga 150 kW (204 CV) e due motori sincroni sull’assale posteriore che forniscono ulteriori 150 kW (204 CV) ciascuno. Quindi l’auto è una 4wd con 612 CV. Prezzo presunto intorno a 200000 euro.

ICON 1949 Mercury Coupe electric

Stylish classic car with a modern heart. This cool 1949 Mercury Coupe has brand new electric powertrain with a Tesla Performance 85kWh battery and a dual motor with no transmission capable of 470 lb-ft of torque, 400HP and 120MPH top speed. This is the creation by ICON4X4, the Californian company founded and driven by Jonathan Ward, revealed at the SEMA show in Las Vegas. ICON4X4 is famous for its restomod 4X4 (Broncos, FJ) and its “Derelict” cars, classics with a fine “patina” and modern mechanical elements. This Mercury is part of the Derelict series, a unique car with untouched-looking exterior that looks cool over the greyish green paint.

Questa fantastica Coupé Mercury del 1949 ha un nuovissimo propulsore elettrico con una batteria Tesla Performance da 85kWh e un doppio motore senza trasmissione in grado di sviluppare una coppia di 470 lb-ft, 400CV e 120MPH (quasi 200km/h) . Questa è la creazione che ICON4X4, ditta californiana fondata e guidata da Jonathan Ward, ha svelata allo SEMA show di Las Vegas. ICON4X4 è famosa per le sue restomod* 4X4 (base Ford Bronco e Toyota FJ) e le sue vetture “Derelict”, classici con una “patina” storica e moderni elementi meccanici. Questa Mercury fa parte della serie Derelict, un’auto unica con un esterno dall’aspetto incontaminato con un aspetto spettacolare grazie alla vernice grigiastro verde dall’aria vissuta.

Meijs Motorman: retro green

04-MEIJS-Motorman_Jet-Black-side_2-1596x1080 Da un’idea di Ronald Meijs nasce la Motorman una motocicletta elettrica dallo stile retro. Chiare le citazioni di un’epoca eroica con un design pulito e minimalista che danno a questo “motorino” un fascino notevole. Ebbene sì la Meijs Motorman rinverdisce i fasti dei motorini che poi sono stati soppiantati dai moderni scooter, lo fa però in chiave green. Un oggetto di design che permette di girare in città a zero emissioni. Omologazione europea L1E, motore elettrico brushless montato al mozzo posteriore (2000W), velocità massima 25 o 45 km/h in base alla versione e di conseguenza anche l’autonomia che può essere di 70-100 km e 50-65 km. Nel serbatoio si nasconde la batteria agli Ioni di Litio da 1,5kWh. Il tutto con un peso complessivo di 45kg. La Motorman è in vendita ad un prezzo di 5950 euro (iva inclusa).

From the idea of Ronald Meijs takes origin the Motorman a light retro styled motorcycle. You can see a strong homage to the classic motorcycles from 1910 with a clear and minimal design that gives this moped a strong identity. The Meijs Motorman is green rebirth of classical mopeds left behind by modern scooters. It’s a cool design thing with a green soul. The zero emission bike ha a L1E European omologation, with an electric (2000W) hub motor in the rear wheel, two versions with two power and range steps: 25km/h top speed and 70-100km range, 45km/h top speed and 50-65km range. In the “false” tank is hidden a 1,5 kWh Lithium-Ion battery. The weight is 45kg. Price 5950 euros (VAT included).

Saroléa MANX7: electric reborn

Lo storico marchio belga Soroléa rinasce grazie all’impresa di due fratelli gemelli, Torsten e Bjorn Robbens che nel 2010 hanno rilevato il marchio con lo scopo di sviluppare e costruire mezzi elettrici ad alte prestazioni. Dopo aver portato a casa un 4 posto alla TT Zero sull’isola di Man nel 2014 e nel 2016 con la SP7, ora presentano la versione stradale del loro bolide a zero emissioni: la MANX7. I numeri sono davvero notevoli: 160CV (120kW) di potenza, 240Km/h di velocità massima e 330km di autonomia.

The historic brand Sorolea is back to life thanks to the job of two twin brothers, Torsten and Bjorn Robbens. Robbens bought the brand to develop and build high-performance electric race machines. After two 4th places at the TT Zero on the Isle of Man with their SP7 an lot of improvements, now they are unveiling the road legal evolution of the beast: the MANX7. Numbers are really impressive: 160HP (120kW), top speed at 150MPH and a range of 205 miles.

ISDERA is back! 800HP of green power

The company turned up to the 2018 Beijing auto show with the Commendatore GT, a 2+2 sportscar powered by an electric powertrain. The car was unveiled in the chinese capital and is set to be produced in an extremely limited edition: 2 cars. Production is scheduled to start in 2018. Power comes from a pair of electric motors each rated at 400 horsepower. There is one of the motors at each axle to form an 4WD system, and according to Isdera the setup will guarantee 0-60 MPH acceleration in 3,7 seconds, 0-120 MPH acceleration in 9,8 seconds, and a top speed of 155 MPH despite the car weight of 3858 pounds. The car has 105 kWh battery, enough for 300 miles of range.

La casa si è fatta notare al salone dell’auto di Pechino con la Commendatore GT, una sportiva 2+2 elettrica. L’auto è stata svelata nella capitale cinese e sarà prodotta in una serie limitatissima: 2 esemplari. La produzione è pianificata per quest’anno. La spinta è garantita da 2 motori elettrici (ciascuno da 400CV), uno per asse, in modo da creare uno schema a trazione integrale, secondo il produttore questo garantisce uno scatto 0-100 Km/h in circa 3.7sec, uno 0-200 Km/h in 9.8sec e una velocità massima di 250 Km/h (autolimitata) nonstante un peso di 1750kg. L’auto è dotata di una batteria da 105kWh che consente un’autonomia di 500Km.

Volkswagen ID R, Pikes Peak challenger

World premiere of the Volkswagen I.D. R Pikes Peak Volkswagen will unveil in France on Sunday April 22 the ID R Pikes Peak, a 4WD electric-powered prototype that will be used on the 2018 Pikes Peak International Hill Climb. The car has been developed by VW’s motorsport division to showcase the performance capabilities of modern-day electric drive systems. A technological demo for a range of new electric-powered ID road cars that are due to begin production from the end of 2019. The machine will be shown before an on-track testing programme for its record attempt on the 156-turn, 12.42-mile mountain begins the following day. Main features: 680HP and 1100Kgs.

L’auto è stata sviluppata dalla divisione motorsport di VW per mostrare le prestazioni dei moderni sistemi di guida elettrica. Una dimostrazione tecnologica per una serie di nuove auto ID stradali elettriche che dovrebbero entrare in produzione a partire dalla fine del 2019. La macchina verrà mostrata prima di un programma di test in pista per il suo tentativo di record di scalata sul miglio in montagna che inizierà il giorno seguente. Principali caratteristiche: 680CV e 1100kg di peso.

Rimac Concept Two: 1914HP EV!

c_two_studio_RIMAC The Croatian company Rimac unveiled at Geneva Motor Show 2018 its new crazy all electric hypercar: the Concept Two. It claims to have a 1914 HP engine that enables a 0-60 MPH acceleration in 1,85 seconds. That would make it one of the quickest cars in existence. Rimac says its 120 kWh battery enables over 400 miles of range, which is a lot more than the 200 miles found in most production EVs. The car comes with Level 4 autonomous capabilities. 150 copies of the Concept Two will be built.

La casa croata Rimac ha svelato al Salone di Ginevra 2018 la sua nuova folle hypercar elettrica: la C TWO. Dichiarati ben 1914 CV di potenza che consentono un’accelerazione da 0-100km/h in 1,85 secondi. Questo dato la pone come una delle auto con la più poderosa accelerazione al mondo. Rimac riferiesce che la batteria da 120kWh permette un’autonomia di 640 Km circa, un dato ben più elevato dei soliti 300 km di molte elettriche già in produzione. L’auto è anche prevista per avere una guida autonoma di livello 4. La produzione prevista è di 150 esemplari.

Fisker EMotion: Henrik strikes back

Fisker-Emotion Henrik Fisker is back, and back in style. A new electric car from Fisker was unveiled: the EMotion. More than 400 miles range, 9 minutes charging to have 125 miles ready, 4WD. Price starting at 129.900$. You can order the car with a 2000$ deposit, delivery starting in January 2019. Is it the new Tesla contender?

Numeri alla mano: 640km di autonomia, 9 minuti per ricaricare 200km, trazione integrale. Il prezzo parte da 129.900 dollari. Si può già ordinare con un anticipo di 2000 dollari e l’inizio delle consegne è previsto per gennaio 2019. Sarà questa la vera nuova anti-Tesla?

Super SOCO TC: urban, stylish, green

Una piccola e leggera cafè racer con motore elettrico, così si potrebbe definire velocemente la Super SOCO TC. In termini di dimesione e potenza si va a confrontare con la classe 125cc dei motori termici. In termini di stile l’impostazione vuole richiamare le moto anni 60-70 un revival che ora di moda. In termini tecnici la TC non potrebbe essere più lontana dal mondo vintage, la moto infatti è spinta da un motore hub 17″ da 1500W(inserito nel mozzo della ruota posteriore) sviluppato dalla Bosch, l’alimentazione è fornita da una batteria da 30Ah alloggiata in quello che un tempo sarebbe stato il serbatoio e che può essere affiancata da una gemella in modo da raddoppiare la percorrenza massima che è di circa 90km. La TC ha anche una sorella minore denominata TS (foto sotto) con potenza confrontabile ad un ciclomotere 50cc ma dal piacevole design motociclistico. Le moto sono prodotte in Cina e commercializzate dall’australiana VMOTO Ltd. (www.vmoto.com)

A nice, light and full electric cafè racer, this could be a short definition of the Super SOCO TC. Dimension and power put this bike in 125cc category, the style is a fine “neoclassic” revival of bikes from the 60s and 70s but the technology is really far from this stylish era. The TC has a 17″ hub motor (inside the rear wheel) developed by Bosch, the 30Ah battery is inside the former gas tank where is possible to put a second battery to double the range from about 90km to 180. The TC has small sister called TS with the power of a 50cc moped (see the pic above) and a fine modern design. The Super SOCO are built in China and distributed by VMOTO Ltd.
